World2one is a contact management company that enables individuals to share their contact details with their friends and colleagues and permit those friends and colleagues to always be able to have the most recent contact information on them regardless of how many times they’ve changed the information.
We anticipate that we will shortly have several million users and we needed to ensure that our application and servers would be able to withstand the volume of many of those users accessing the application simultaneously.
The application is a tool that enables individuals to share their contact details with their friends and colleagues and permit those friends and colleagues to always be able to have the most recent contact information on them regardless of how many times they’ve changed the information.

We wanted to empirically prove our applications reliability and scalability to instil confidence in our reseller organization. Our challenge was finding a cost-effective solution that performed both the required testing and the necessary detailed reporting in one package.
We were able to get in-depth support during our free trial period to build our testing scenario. The support and the results we obtained during the trial period gave us the confidence that NeoLoad would meet and exceed all of our requirements.
We had previously used Selenium and JUnit to perform some of our testing but it was a time consuming and difficult task to generate the reports necessary to get a clear picture of what actions needed to be taken after each test. NeoLoad allowed us to quickly see our results and take action.
We ran three scenarios retrieval test, sign-up/account creation test, 20/80 mix of the retrieval user and sign-up/account creation.
Our final testing scenarios and results were:
Retrieval test- 500 users requesting random user content for 5 minutes. Total of 6891 users launched with no errors.
Sign-up- users completing a several step sign-up process. Started with 1 user ramping up 1 user every 2 seconds up to 500 users. Total of 798 users launched with no errors.
80/20 Mixed- we ramped up from 1 user adding 5 users every 4 seconds up to 500 users. Total of 550 users launched with no errors.
