NeoSense 2.1 introduces new functionality with the addition of SaaS locations for monitoring and a number of core improvements. Additionally, you might notice the UI got a facelift with an all new look and feel.

SaaS Locations

Monitor your applications with synthetic transactions executed from cloud locations maintained by Neotys. No need to maintain your own cloud server or install NeoSense location software, but you can mix your own locations with any NeoSense SaaS locations to get a better view of performance for distributed user bases.

New Look & Feel

New UX analysis sparked major changes to the look and feel of NeoSense. The UI has been updated with a new color scheme and a more ergonomic layout of menus and settings.

Change User Path Names for URL Monitoring

Change the name of the user paths when utilizing URL monitoring for better visibility in reports and dashboards.

Custom Accounts for NeoSense & NTS

Use a custom account instead of a centralized account when pulling a NeoLoad project from the Neotys Team Server.

On-demand Transaction Details

Get on demand details of specific transaction executions to help better diagnose what’s going on when NeoSense freezes during a transaction execution.

Front-end Log Files

Retrieve log files from the front-end to get better visibility into the monitoring infrastructure.

Cross Version Compatibility

NeoSense locations of previous versions of NeoSense now work with newer versions of the NeoSense server.

How to Update to NeoSense 2.1

If you’re a current NeoSense customer, here’s how to update your version of NeoSense:

  1. Download the NeoSense installer 2.1 (Windows or Linux) available in the Download Center.
  2. Prior to installing NeoSense 2.1, it is necessary to uninstall current version of NeoSense.
  3. Run the installer 2.1 which integrates the following steps:
    1. Backing up data
    2. Migrating data
    3. Installing NeoSense 2.1
    4. Installing the Network Emulation driver (optional)
  4. Download your NeoSense 2.1 license key from the Customer Area.
  5. Install and activate the license key.
