On Linux

Installing a Load Generator Agent requires to be part of the sudo group.

If the LoadGeneratorAgentService.service service has not been created during the installation, the Load Generator Agent will not be booted at the restart of your Linux machine.

You can create it manually afterwards by following the instructions just below:

  1. In the /etc/systemd/system/ directory, create the file "LoadGeneratorAgentService.service" with the content below by changing your paths accordingly:

    [Unit]

    Description=NeoLoad Load Generator Agent

    Before=multi-user.target graphical.target

    After=network-online.target remote-fs.target time-sync.target

    Wants=network-online.target

    [Service]

    Type=exec

    ExecStart="/opt/Neoload7.2/bin/LoadGeneratorAgentService" start-launchd

    SuccessExitStatus=0 143

    [Install]

    WantedBy=multi-user.target graphical.target

  2. To enable it so that it can start at boot time, open the terminal and type the command:

    sudo systemctl enable LoadGeneratorAgentService.service

  1. Open the terminal and type the command:

    sudo sh neoload_7_1_0_linux_<bitness>.sh

  2. Select the Load Generator Agent installation option.
