- Oracle Forms Performance, Load and Stress Testing
Performance, Load and Stress testing of Oracle Forms applications
Oracle Forms
Oracle Forms is a Rapid Application Development (RAD)
solution from Oracle that can be used to create and deploy cross-platform applications
that run in their own applet. This technology allows developers to build applications
more quickly, using default graphic components that are easy to assemble. Oracle
Forms is part of the Oracle Developer Suite.
NeoLoad Oracle Forms Support
NeoLoad supports Oracle Forms from version 6i onwards. Exchanges
between the Forms server (such as the OC4J container) and the browser
(via the Oracle JInitiator applet) are binary data transfers.
Load testing tools cannot replay these messages without special processing,
as they contain dynamic data that needs to be reassembled.
Objects contained in the Oracle Forms messages appear in XML
format in NeoLoad. This means that all the usual functions can be used: recording,
editing, using variables, validating responses and injecting data.
Using NeoLoad's Oracle Forms module, you will be able to
create test scenarios, load test your Forms web applications and validate their
performances, and detect any weak points. Load testing your Forms applications
prior to deployment will allow you launch the production phase with total confidence.
Test this optional module now in the demo
version of NeoLoad.
